Greetings Everyone! Well, this week has been kinda crazy for me. Monday was the last class for one of my BJJ friends. He's been there ever since I started and will be missed for sure. That night and into Tuesday, it was apparent that I had pinched a nerve or something of that sort in my neck. I was able to receive a massage treatment on Tuesday and will have a chiropractic adjustment Friday. Its feeling better each day so hopefully this will put me pain free. When fired up, the teeth, ear and temple on the lift side of my face throb intensely. I don't recommend it.
On top of that I will be making 10lbs of pork ribs for a BBQ on Saturday and 20lbs of pork ribs for one on Sunday. Arwyn helped me last time and we were able to do it assembly line style - much faster. I hope to take video or pictures and write up my simple, but highly requested, method of seasoning and cooking!
And at the top of the mountain is the Maryland Death Fest! MDF is one of the biggest metal festivals out there and it will be celebrating its XIII year. I've been a few times and its always a blast. MDF has enabled me to see the legendary Bolt Thrower (they hadn't played a US show in well over 10 years) and now the always sought after Bloodbath! This will be the the Swedes' first US show ever since starting in 1998 and only their third overall! With an all-star lineup, every recording blows the competition out of the water with pure evil old-school death metal. I've been looking forward to this since they made the announcement back on Aug. 18th, 2014 and no matter what, I'm going to make it. Next week I'll be back to my normal posts, but for now: may your weekend and adult-bevarage-vessels be brimming with merriment!
