That being said....this is a screenshot of the main bank, guild bank, commodities broker, auction house and mail area in my faction's capital. This was taken around midnight on a Thursday and there are two other areas deeper in the city but that still shouldn't account for NPCs outnumbering actual players.
More people results in a more stable economy and there are three methods to solve this problem. The first (and one that everyone hopes they do) is a server merge. Yes, many do see it as a death premonition for MMOs but happy people tend to recommend games. The second is for new content to attract more gamers. They recently released a new type of battleground (Sabotage) but I haven't seen a spike in players on my server. They announced a big content patch at GamesCom so we shall see how things play out. The third is to simply start a new character on one of the thriving servers right now. While I really don't want to start over before I hit 50, a $20 transfer fee is completely out of the question.
Only time will tell in this situation, so in the meantime, why don't you stop by....please?
