Welcome friends to the battle arena, where the walkers fast a series of dangerous and brutal opponents. Though I played in six games, I'm only going to cover the 2k point games, as that is when I played the walkers. The other games I was forced to put away the walkers and play with things I'm not used to which made me feel all icky. I need my steel and iron! The first game I'm covering is vs Sebastian, the son of Steve (my opponent at the LVO). Steve wasn't just content to krump me himself, he sent his minions to crush my spirit! Seb would be bringing the Dark Angels "Gets Hot" list. I would be bringing walkers...lots and lots of walkers!

Welcome back to the overpowered ork dreadnought channel. I hope you all brought your teef with you. (for betting purposes of course). Todd from Sincain40k and I were able to play a second game (after the first one) continuing our Nova Open practice. Would the orks fair any better? Would Greg run out of tealight markers again? This time I'd be running a legal list. (Quick adjustment meant dropping the bikes, taking a mega armored warboss, and another dread (mega dread). This won't be my final list, as discussions with FW (they actually answer rules questions!) let me find out I can still run Zhardsnark with a dread mob, he just can't be leading it (no bikes as troops, and can't be warlord).
+++ VOX INTERCEPT: 0DJ:AA-L051 +++ VOX NODE: 284.655.71.982 +++ VOX PROTOCOL: JADE Despite warnings to cease and desist, multiple chapters of the radical tithe evasion cult H.U.R.O.N. gathered together with teams of Non-Administratum authorized news affiliates along with minor delegations from the Simulations Acting Guild (SAG) representing juvenat impaired "B" list actors flown in from the HollyVox sector to stage a protest and demand restitution for alleged, "Crimes against the Imperium". Notable individuals from SAG included Afflex the Grim, Leonidus de Kharnio, and the artist formerly known as "L". The subversive elements portrayed by actors, claiming tribal affiliations with the tithe adverse H.U.R.O.N-ites, have declared the previously loyal Badab sector as a tithe free zone, no longer under obligation to the Administratum and have encouraged the inhabitants to "take their hard earned Imperial credits and their treasured first born and spend them as they see fit so they can live the lives they truly deserve." Administratum officials who were not authorized to comment directly on events occurring in the Badab sector surprisingly, refused to comment. Unnamed Inquisitional sources were quoted as saying, "This isn't some ridiculous vox screen parody for unemployed poseurs. The Inquisition does not negotiate. Our beginning position is fire and complete desolation." +++ VOX INTERCEPT: 0DJ:AA-L051

Todd from Sincain40k brings the new Craft World Eldar to face down the rusty walkers of doooooom (and explosions). Dreads would explode, explode, and explode some more! I hope you are ready for a Michael bay series of explosions ladies and gentlemen! But wait...there are two new dreads in the mob! That's right, greggles has been busy! Been on a building rampage lately. Lets see what I've finished up!
Welcome back everyone! This week I actually got in some games of 40k (with orks), and did a ton of hobby work...but as you'll see, sometimes you can spray and build for hours and have absolutely nothing to show for it! To start out with, I inventoried the sicaran, and snipped off the main pieces, sanded, took off mould lines and flash, then soaked and scrubbed them all. So as you can see this pile of resin is basically hours of work. It's pretty at least?
[Last week we saw the Imperial forces fully arrayed against the Eldar menace. Unfortunately, the Eldar kin did not deploy initially, causing confusion in the ranks of the Imperial war machine. When the Eldar kin did deploy, the Imperial commanders discovered that they had been lured into a trap. Not only had the Eldar kin hidden behind the blind barrage laid out by the Imperial supporting units, but were taken aback to find that a host of the gigantic Dreamwalkers had completed their encirclement and arrived behind the Imperial's strongest flank. Soon volleys of wraith weapons began to rend the cornerstone of the Imperials left flank, a gigantic Baneblade constructed of golden armor. Yet the Imperials had their own tricks to reveal]

It's the royal rumble, the main event, the clash of titans. Walker vs Walker BATTLE! Round 3 would be my absolute favorite round, just because Jason had the exact same idea I had (to bring tons of walkers), only from the chaos perspective. What would follow would be a non stop action packed slugfest that covered the table in death and destruction...and before it ended, one of us would be yelling "ENGINE KILL!!!!" This game was very evenly matched. It was purge the alien, dawn of war, I had nine kill points, Jason had eight. Walker vs Walker destruction!
Hey guys! Originally I was going to do two bat reps in each post, but then it took over an hour to write up and get the last one up...so I am splitting them up. It looks like the east coast is about to get a foot of snow, so I figure this will give us something to read and chuckle about! My second tournament battle was vs Jeff, and his unbound BA terminator army. Though I'd be facing BA again, it was an entirely different army, and was basically the infantry equivalent to my walkers. (slow, but with tons of hammer and invulns). We decided to play each other after just chatting and shooting the breeze. That's how friendly pairings work! It's like a loose tournament of pickup games.
Hey Guys! Welcome back! Today I'm going to run you thought my first Friendly Las Vegas Open battle! Ork Walkers vs Blood AngelsThere will also be some bonus Las Vegas Open images at the end! (That's right, I found MORE!). I was going to do a review of my transport for LVO, but decided to hold that off till I am less lazy. You will also be able to find these bat reps (bit less narrative, but more laid out) over at the battle directory run by the man Cadian Shock! My first opponent at the Las Vegas Open was Justin and his blood angels. I met Justin when the pairing for Friendly GT was announced. "Find someone you haven't played before, shake their hand, and that is your opponent." Justin was waving with his hand in the air proclaiming he needed an opponent, all smiles, so I gravitated right towards him.
Orks are constantly looking for a bigger, better fight. Especially onces jammed inside of walkers with nothing else to do. So I took the stompa and the crew over to sincain40k's for a Eldar vs Ork super bash! Little I did a know, Todd brought a big friend to introduce the Stompa too! More friendly LVO practice...and as you might guess, practice at enjoying yourself in all gaming situations! :) . I was also able to get some oranges on the gorkanaut. I couldn't get to the stompa in time (that will be for an tuesday post next week, with a case review!), but I was able to seal sixteen walkers when the temp was 50F+. All that is left is pinning a few models to bases, and travelling to Las Vegas!
Welcome back everyone! Got an exciting post for you this week. My first test game with the walker mob...against the new Necrons! I also started hitting all the models up with bright oranges for the final rust stage, and will be sealing them (then chipping fluid) this Wednesday (because it's 10C!!!) You'll notice right away (those of you with enhanced optics) that the three killa kans in front look a bit...brighter. That's because I started with the orange layer this past week!
Wow, it's hard to imagine that the "big" game has been done for two weeks now. That means that for the next installment you would expect that I'd be busily painting away to get to my next 1000 points. But then, you'd be wrong. After finishing the write up, I just sat looking at my desk for several days. Sort of post-Olympic gold medal winner funk...except that I didn't go to the Olympics or win a gold medal. I just got the funk. It happens to everyone at some point. So after not getting anything put together or painted by using my mind (Eldar FAIL), I started thinking about next steps. Now, to help me get there, i.e. next 1000 points, I wanted to add something interesting to my list that would be fun, yet effective. I attempted to get a Lynx off of ebay, but the bidding on that exceeded my budget, so I had to wave bye-bye to that one. I would like to get one of those sometime as I love the model and I think it would be fun to play with. So, I finally resurrected Illic Nightspear from his Simple Green bath and got him primed again. The goal this go around would be to get him painted and sealed with something transparent. That grey primer I used last time seals very well, but is lacking in the transparency department.
[Last week we saw the full deployments of the combatants, climaxing in the Imperial forces countering a strong play by the Eldar kin around the device known as, "The Artifact".
