Greetings! With Arwyn doing the massive writeup on our PAX East adventure, I figured that I'd give a supplemental post featuring my best pick of the con.
Feed Your Nerd on the floor at PAX East!
The pure vastness of the con really hits you when atop the skywalks.
Well, I finally had the time to sit down and beat BioShock: Infinite this past week. While you can read about the issues I found with the game in my previous article, BioShock: Infinite...ly Frustrating, I was absolutely blown away by the rest of the game. The ending puts your brain in a blender and gets you right in the feels for sure! I will not post any spoilers, but I will say that the haunting environments and characters return to the franchise in a big way.
There are 40 Chapters in the game (be warned - the titles can slightly be spoilers) and I wrote my last article somewhere in the upper 20's. I do think that the game would have benefited from introducing these envirnoments etc. sooner, but maybe the developers felt that it wouldn't have led to such a sharp climax in the story.
Either way, the story line and content definitely made my complaints shrink in size and up my recommendation greatly. I would still say that Dishonored eeks out the win in the overall game category, but Bioshock: Infinite comes out on top in the story department for a very deeply impacting conclusion. So....buy them both on the next Steam sale if you haven't already!
Next up: Finishing The Last of Us so I can finally give it back to Shantz, lol.
Treasure Amongst the Masses:
With Awesome Con on the heels of PAX East, I am reminded of my best find from last year.
