On Sunday, I got to try playing a game of Heroclix. I had avoided the game for a while for various reasons. These reasons such as a lack of time, and energy. Also, the foreknowledge that if i got playing, I would probably end up buying mini after mini after mini. Considering I already currently own 2 armies for warhammer 40k, and also hooked on the Star Wars mini game and own a good amount of those, would bring about the downfall of my wallet (which is already usually starved). I will say, I did enjoy it. I wasn't very good (since it requires dice rolling which is not my forte).
I ran a 200 point X-Men team (plus Iron Fist... cause well, Iron Fist) which consisted of Logan, Storm, Cyclops and Marrow. I initially had the idea of rushing into combat against anoter player who was running an Avengers list, but tat did not happen. Right off the bat, Iron fist got into trouble thanks to a bastard Robin who charged and then kept poisoning me. In hindsight, I should have tried to pull away sooner instead of trying to go blow for blow in CC. It was all downhill after that. Overall, I did enjoy it. I foresee myself playing some more.... (I'm sorry wallet)
