So I was re-listening to a Roosterteeth Podcast the other day and they were talking about how today people always seem to have their noses buried in phones/tablets/computers. People who have been incarcerated for roughly the last 10+ years come out these days confused when looking around since it is a completely different society now that mobile tech is so proliferated. This also happens to have coincided with a moment recently that made me laugh when thinking about the Podcast. While having dinner and some bevs with friends, everyone at the table started talking about a new mobile game, that they were hooked on (and now so am I, now that I installed it that night). At one point while we were playing "We didn't Playtest This", the people out of the round would pull out their phones and start up a quick round of Quizup until pretty much everyone had their phones out. One friend commented that he was not going to play because he rather be social and pay attention to people who they are with. Is it being antisocial if everyone is playing a game on phones, but still physically together? I tend to prefer not to be on phones, but social trends seem to be shifting...
