Day 3
My birthday was today!
We got up and headed out early. I stopped at the Starbucks downstairs to find out they didn't take birthday coupons so I had to pay the full price boo. It's alright it just meant I could use it some other time instead.

We then headed over for another "Bag Check" (hah) and inside. Even for Saturday it wasn't that bad going in. Just went further to the right where the lines were shorter.
The only issue we had was when we tried to get in line for the bigger companies that morning. First thing we were already turned away from too many people being in line (Blizzard). When we went to the Bethesda booth and stood in line I got curious and asked if we actually got to play the game. When we found out it was just a 20minute presentation we realized it wasn't worth it. Instead we ended up walking almost the whole of the expo floor outer isles to all the merch booths and shopped. It took longer then you expected but we did it. Once again I stopped at the Wildstar booth and got my friend one of the stuffed Rowsdowers.
I got a D20 ring, tshirts, earings, card games and some new tabletop games. Once again I also got 2923842348 pins.. those damn pins...
After Macathu checked out the Warhammer tables and I picked up some new CAH boxes from the kickstarter room we went to the "Why D&D Is Still Awesome: A 40th Anniversary Dungeons & Dragons Tribute" panel.
For the second time they squished us like sardines.. why with the sardine squishing?! The panel was interesting and they connected some nice things to the credit of D&D being created. The panelists were knowledgeable and gave away some goodies at the end for trivia answers.
The only feedback I would give is less heavy on the videos and more time for more information and discussion. Besides that I just feel they would have some more information to modern connections and really why D&D still matters by the description of the title. They covered a lot of past items but nothing really recently.
We then wandered back to the Warhammer tables and while they were doing that I took a stroll through all the tabletop booths. I was very excited when I noticed some people playing the Mouse Guard RPG. I have two of the books but I wasn't aware there was a game out as well..
Unfortunately it's out of print and they don't know when they'll make it again... I was a sad Arwyn... I could get it on Amazon.. for many moneys ($100+).
There were several other games that looked interesting such as a food fight card game, a booth with metal puzzles where a group of gamers were just sitting and trying to solve them. Lots of minis for new games coming out some looked great.. some.. uh... were ok. I also found the Dresden RPG which I didn't know existed. If you don't know about the Dresden Files I recommend checking them out. It's like Dick Tracy meets Harry Potter. The nice man at the booth gave me a long shpeal about it not realizing I already knew but I nodded and went with it.
After the last two warhammer games were over we headed out to the hotels then dinner.
We had about an hour wait for our table for dinner so we headed to a bar to hang out till they texted us. I found the bar had set up Mario Kart so we started taking turns while we waited.

Let me tell you about the Hillstone
It was pretty much the complete opposite of our lovely experience the night before. After waiting almost an hour Greggles finally called to check what was going on and they said 15 minutes. So we saddled up and headed over.
After about a total of two hours we finally got our table.

The food wasn't good at all. My steak was the only good thing that came. For a fish place the swordfish was super dry. The service was pretty miserable and nobody looked happy in that place. Our waiter pretty much acted like he was being forced to give us anything. Lowly commoners how dare you come to our fake fancy restaurant! The only happy people were a drunk annoying group that came in and sat next to us.
The icing on the cake? They called us after we left to see if we had "accidentally" took our drunk neighbors coat.
So no I do not recommend this place at all if you're looking for eats at Pax.
Sanshee Party
We arrived between 9pm and 10pm with block hopper passes (this was supposed to allow us in no matter what). We were then told we had to wait to be let in since they over packed the place. When we finally got in the Sanshee staff were very nice. The bar itself just looked like a regular party. The DJ was playing regular music and scratching randomly for no reason. There were a couple games but they were in the far back and only fighitng games. The only real game themed item in there were a set of eight drinks for WildStar but that was about it.

When we went upstairs it looked like someone was about to hurl over the railing so we headed down to the basement where a money vault was and the DJ was spinning. Here people could dance and so we hung out for a while. We ended up staying longer then we wanted just because the bartender never took our drink tickets so we drank for free. There was some nice cosplayers in Bioshock outfits dancing that was entertaining.
Once again we left for the night to the hotel and ended up playing CAH.
We had also found a mexican restaurant pamphlet and a chinese restaurant pamphlet with the same number... was trying to figure out how that worked?
Update: I was contacted by someone at Sanshee and we passed a couple messages about how to improve the party. He was very nice in listening and wanted to make things right. Turns out the bar itself allowed non-pax people in and went over the limit on how many people could be in the bar at all times.
