I finally got around to picking up a ps4. There wasn't anything that made me scream "I NEED ONE" since it came out. Sure I'm a sucker for the Infamous franchise (see what i did there?) and I wanted to play Last of us again and the upgraded version. Well, I got some bday monies, so I grabbed one. (do yo need to ask what games I got?) Geeze, I forgot how annoying and slow the ps3 installed games and updates... PS4 is just as bad. I installed and played Evolve on the xbone within 2 hours. It took about 9 hours to download and install 5.6 gigs... (Yes, 1st world problems). I just expected better .

We plan on doing more Let' plays and other videos on FYN. I brought back some codes for various games from PAX East, and was excited to play them and share them with Arwyn. Funny enough, she already had one from last year's Pax. She installed it and started to play while I watched. No spoilers. wait, that is a lie.
My roommate is currently traveling. When he goes on extended trips, he usually drops off the dog at his parents' house. He learned, he was doing multiple trips basically back to back a few days before he left so he came into my room to warn me. Instead of being gone for like 2 weeks, it will be closer to a month. Lately, the dog has taken to sitting on my feet while I draw, so he wanted to see if I would be sad or miss her. The timing was perfect
The Jimmy saga continues. Well, in this case not really Jimmy, but Nathan. We still cursed Jimmy for this. I knew we were in trouble the moments he started wiggling the joystick around on my fightstick. I brought mypremaid fightstick I got a while back, instead of my custom one. So it doesn't have the upgraded joystick which registers activation (that you are pushing in that direction) in 8 locations. It only has 4 main ones. Most people wouldn't be able to tell so I immediately looked at Remus and gave the "Oh ballz" look and we both declared "damnit jimmy". We then endured another 90 mins of ass whooping... At least this time, we both managed to win at least a round here and there against him. Not nearly as painful as damn Jimmy.
After Jimmy destroyed Remus and I for a solid 60 mins, we eventually had to turn over the station and return the game. We then got another ticket to hopefully get another game. We decided on street fighter IV arcade version since we thought it wouldn't be as popular and we have a pretty long history with that franchise. The battle continued into round two.
Remus and I have a rivalry that has spanned through the last nearly 20years. We compete in all manner of things, but nothing more intense than when it comes to fighting games. Marvel vs Capcom battles have lasted all night at times. So at Pax, we couldn't pass up the chance to check the game out in the console free play room and go at it. We waited for an hour for our number to be called to get our reservation. We were amazed that almost all the ps3s were available. We set our stuff done and started our war... and then Jimmy showed up. Non assuming Jimmy... Damnit Jimmy!
Last year at PAX EAST, Greggles and I found what we called at the time (and seems other people do as well) "Adult juice boxes". Basically they were the progression of Wine in a box, by making them smaller and more portable. They were basically juice size boxes of wine. Each claiming to contain 3 glasses worth. They were pretty great. So for this year, I went out and hunted for them again once I arrived. They made participating in the drinking game that Roosterteeth and Fun Haus were obviously playing during their panel very simple and tasty. I have noticed peole lately have been really pushing muscle milk for people who are looking into getting in shape or to help recover after a rough night. My strategy is usually just morning beers to clear my mind. Although sometimes, that just doesn't work. Regardless, liquid form is fairly typical for my con nutrition.
I watch a lot of videos. When I am home, I usually have something on, at least for background noise. I watch stuff from all sorts of sources. Typically, I watch thing via Youtube vids on the xbone, mainly cause it conveniently plays through all the videos from my subscriptions without me having to pay attention. If not that, the fios stream, etc... I am also a (sponsor)to Roosterteeth (if you couldn't guess) and upon occasion they have subscriber only contect, in which case Iwill stream it via PC onto my tv. Having so many connections can be confusing for streaming.
