It is funny. Being a cosplayer, people automatically assume I would have halloween in the bag. That I probably have no issues getting a costume together and being ready to rock. For me, this is not the case. I do not like wearing my cosplays as costumes. I feel an attachment to the characters I cosplay and do not want to sully that. To me, halloween is a time to dress up in silly fun stuff that just amuses me and is basically an one off or throw away thing. So it takes me a long time to think of stuff and to create it, well I don't have the same urgency as I do when I wanna cosplay something. So every year, I go through the same ordeal and usually end up throwing something (or multiple somthings since I don't like wearing the same costume twice) together. Halloween is stressful

The new codex for the Dark Eldar came out. there are a lot of changes. some good, some meh. They also released the new Haemonculous supplement, which although I wish didn't code another $50, is pretty awesome. we of FYN have been discussing and debating the pros and cons of these changes. Most oft, Greggles is correct. For example, I was bitter the webway portal was "nerfed" in that it didn't give me a new reserve entry point but only allowed that unit to deep strike. I mentioned it sucked while Greggles was away from chat. I thought more about it, and the new supplement possibilities and realized I was wrong. Greggles upon reading the msg was outraged.... but I was already on the road to show em how much I loved the new idea of
webways full of pain Greggles went on vacation. The weather turned cold (which I love). Arwyn has learned to be bitter and spread the bitter like a storm
What is with all these appreciation days? Seems everyday is a day for some new specific group of people we are supposed to buy baked goods and cards for. Most times for people who, let's face it, we don't feel deserve it. Granted, that's just a cynical look at these things. I'm sure the people we are supposed to celebrate appreciate it. The biggest bite is when they appreciate themselves and only they do
I didnt really like the end product of that comic, so I am giving you a bonus comic, and possible start to a new mini series that that will be mixes in to normal scheduled comics 'drunk belligerent santa. Arwyn has to be gluten free. It was a bit of an adjustment, not just for her, but for all of us. When we all get together we have to think a little bit more as to what we will have. It hasn't actually been all that hard, but it was an interesting. It has actually led to some tasty new finds. Awryn does need to have her blood drawn once in a while. which led to a tweet of hers "Visited the blood fairy. She has magic fingers. #hashimotos #bloodfairy #sendmegoodnews" . I immediately honed into , ignoring the magic fingers (which in hind sight I should have included) , blood fairy.
Recently Greggles and I have had a discussion about our future convention plans and schedules for next year. Greggles was very serious and sincere when he mentioned that he may skip out on a few in order to attend some 40k tournaments. I had to tell him that it is fine if our schedules for our cons start to diverge...
Arwyn has a lot of stuff to get done at work. She is typically swamped at work or it is dumped on her. Occasionally she vents to us. A lot of time, all she wants is for people to just leave her alone for a bit so she can get the work they want her to do, done. Sometimes she resorts to various measures, often without much success, to not to be disturbed...
So during my recent trip to Korea, I was educated on a few things. First, I am apparently physically odd. It was commented on that I do not have a typical body shape. I am neither skinny nor big or stocky. I am thin-ish, but broad. They are just not used to seeing someone in the middle (read avg)? I learned a few things about how people interact these days as well. One being that if you are walking around alone, you are not supposed to be walking around happy and social. I was stopped on the street one day and told I should be more reserved. That it wasn't appropriate that I was walking around smiling and making eye contact with people. That I should be more respectfully reserved... and no, it was not an old lady/gentleman who said it to me...
So this week I am in Korea visiting family and "the homeland". I haven't been to Korea since 1988. The last time, we left like 2 days before the Olympic games began. Seriously, 2 frakin days. We saw athletes flying in! This time during my visit, The Asian games are being hosted in Korea. At the same time I am in the country. We are not leaving before them! Asked my dad if we could watch an event, any event. He said he didn't realize that may be something I would want to do. Seriously? I have a chance to watch serious International competition in another country and it didn't cross his mind I would think that would be interesting. Shenanigans and other stuff.
