I have been an utter klutz/spazz the past couple weeks. I've slipped down stairs, slammed into things, spilled things.... I know I'm a klutz at times. My friends know this. people I don't know...

Just got from Pax East. It was fantastic. What wasn't, was the flare up of allergies for bot myself and my friend who I was sharing a hotel room with. It didn't help he was still deaing with a touch of a cold, and drinking we were doing. I usually don't sleep a lot during the weekend of PAX anyways, so I planned for it, but my allergies made me tired as well, and I needed some good rest.
It is Day one of PAX EAST!!!!! If you are here, hope to bump into you, and hope you have fun! For those not here, watch the streams, and enjoy! I love coming to PAX EAST. I always have a good time. I get to see friends, play all sorts of games and interact with tons of people from gamers, to developers. The cosplay is usually really good (although a bit sparse). On the signs and banners, they usually have "WELCOME TO PAX EAST. Welcome home. It always makes me feel good to see it.
I went up to Rochester NY this past weekend to attend my old college accapella's annual concert (that i was one of the orginators for). I haven't been back in forever. You can find em at https://www.facebook.com/brickcitysingers/ . Well, I was having so much fun, I barely looked at my phone the entire time. It was kinda nice to just away from everything and in the moment, each minute I was there. Coming back to the land of instant gratification and communication was rather blah
So the new trailer for Suicide Squad came out this week. It has very mixed reviews. I am actually semi looking forward to it. I like the premise of the comic books, and it seems like it could be good fun. The issue is, that they had to go back and do a bunch of reshoots. And rumor had it was due to the fact that it was like the other DC movies these days, dark. After Deadpool came out, they realized they could add more dark HUMOR into it and in general more humor. Especially since it seems that they had put in all the funny moments in the original trailer, so they were kind of hurting for jokes to break up the movie.
Telework can be a great thing (From what I hear. since I don't really get to. My job isn't something I can really do remotely... well, I guess I could actually). There are some draw backs, you have to check in, give updates, and usually if yuo are government, means lugging around some ancient ridiculously heavy laptop. They have been gettign better about the laptops though. They seem to "refresh" them with new ones every 4-5 years. But as with all new tech, there can be some problems. Of course, who knows about these problems and who is responsible for fixing them are different issues.
If you haven't noticed, there have been a bunch of posts this week. Greggles went to Adepticon for all the tabletop gaming coverage you can handle. Every day, he send the rest of us at FYN a msg of "hope you don't have anything you need to do on the site. I'm uploading 300+ pictures and other stuff". then once that is done, all the traffic start to roll in. We appreciate all the views!
It was like nearly 80 degrees a few days last week. The AC was turned on and greatly appreciated. This week, I've had to wear my jacket. I hate wearing jackets. It was 42 degrees the other day. The wind has been crazy too. North of DC in NY and stuff there is snow. I don't really mind it too much, but it is still odd. It isn't Winter anymore!
So Pax tickets went out in the mail last week. Since I had recently moved and didn't think to update them, my tickets were shipped to the old address. I immediately called USPS and asked if I could have it redirected to the new address. They said I could and got it all squared away. Even got a confirmation number. Then 2 days later, I check the tracking number and saw "attempted delivery" and that a notice was left and that it was being held. Well, I then went online and requested a redirect/hold for pickup. Got confirmation for that as well. On friday, I planned to go pick it up. I did the lookup for which post office it would be at and I got a location that was not in my area and so called them. They informed me the nearest USPS office had it. So I walked down, and they told me it was not there and that the initial place should have it. So I called them back, and they said to hold as they checked. After being on hold for 45 mins, I hung up, and tried to call them again in case they forgot I was on the line. They were busy (for the rest of the day... I kept trying every so often) and so I called the general USPS toll free number. After waiting for 35 mins, They came back with that it should be at another local USPS office. So I hopped on my bike and went down to that office. Upon arrival I was told they only hold packages for people with PO boxes and that the other local office should have it. I once again called the toll free number, and after 40 mins of waiting, was told they could do nothing for me other than open an investigation and an agent would call me within the next few days...
