So we have a dog walker for the pup (who isn't really a puppy). The past bunch of months, they have been coming fairly late afternoon. Sometimes, after or right before I get home. If that is the case, I usually (or used to) try to change and go for my run while she is out to avoid any sad face or guilt trips if I want to get a serious run in. When I go with her it is constant stopping to pee and stuff (and then I let her pee). Most times, if she is home and just got done with a walk in the heat, I will leave her behind as well. Sometimes she guilts me into taking her which means we go for a short run. This week it has been so hot, she has had no complaints when I leave the house without her for a run or just in general. Still doesn't mean she isn't bitter when I get home!

It has been brutally hot lately. It has been nearly 100 degrees the past few days. And as I've mentioned a number of times, I've been dealing with heat rashes occasionally (Which I think I solved!!!!). It has been very difficult to get myself back into running consistently. I have been doing longer trail walks in the morning for my commute to the metro, and on my way home to make up for it. It is nice. It may be nearly double the distance each way, but it is in shade nearly the entire way so I don't end up nearly as sweaty and uncomfortable as usual. I've been trying to run on occasion in the morning instead of my usual late afternoon, but it is difficult... Especially when it is already 87 degrees at 7:30am!
Still on the pokemon Go just like many people in the world. Offices and businesses are learning to take advantage of it. Some are incorporating it as team building or break times. Some businesses are using the fact that they are gyms or pokestops to attract new business. They will drop lures to attract people or offer specials. It is changing the business landscape and what is expected of people.
I do not understand people who can have conversations in person, but insist on doing it over conference calls. I can understand when everyone is remote of a good number of people are remote. When the majority are in the office and there are conference rooms available with internet connectivity for everyone and the ability to webcast, WHY NO USE?!?!?! Instead it results with 20 mins wasted trying to figure out logistics, tech or whatever...
So much walking has happened since Pokemon Go released. Walks have happened at all sorts of times, prior to work, during work hours, after work, before bed, instead of bed... The dog loved it at first, but on occasion you can tell she has had enough of having to leave the AC so her humans can stare at their phones and flick em at stuff. The other day she just plopped down and wanted nothing to do with anyone while I was out hunting. Another dog came by and she was fine as long as the dog left her alone. Then she had enough of everyone and everything. She got up and was just done and flipped all the tables til we started walking back home. I guess she has a limit, and that is about 5 pokehunts in a day.
Pokemon Go has debuted as a hit! It has been awesome seeing so many people out walking around the city catching pokemon. It has been a great unifying thing. It is pretty easy to see when someone is playing and the fact that people are wiling to approach people, talk and hang out with eachother has been amazing. One of the issues with the addiction that is Pokemon Go, is that cell phone battery drain is an epidemic. I used to never see people out with phone chargers much less with them plugged in from their pockets (other than for myself). Now everywhere you look there is bound to be someone trying to stave off the dead battery indicator to catch just a few more pokemon. Whoever bought stock in those external charger companies or has a bunch is ready to make bank!
Pokemon Go was finally released on Wednesday, July 6th 2016. It has been highly anticipated by many people. It is made by the same people that brought to you ingress. If you aren't social media, you may not know what pokemon go is. However, if you have any sort of social media presence than I do not need to explain. The issue with the release was that it wasn't known when it would be released, not that it was forst being released in Australia. Arwyn, spent the day trying to get the game the legal way unlike many people who downloaded the APK. Much time was spent trying to play the game (and still are as it is dealing with some server issues).
It was the fourth Of July. Which means a few days in a row of fireworks depending on where you live. At my place, fireworks have gone off every day/night since wednesday. Lots of people have been complaining about how it is causing havok with their pets getting scared. It does suck to have them scared. I'm fortunate that Bill's dog does not even bat an eye to em but other friends have pups and cats who do. They should all have companions to help them through these tough nights.
Seriously, everyone poops. Stop being embarrassed. I understand when you are younger it can be. Kids will mock and tease for it. Totally get it. I was one of those kids that picked their feet up and had them up against the door. Poop smells and you don't want to be associated with it. I get it. But if you are an adult, you should get over that. This actually happened recently....
