How the times have changed, and yet, it seems some things don't. Just a difference in specifics... And yes, I realize in the first panel I should have drawn a blackboard, since we didn't have whiteboards in classrooms then. And lets face it, I would have answered all those math questions. Like I said, things don't really change.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! The other day I woke up and went down to make a bagel. I ended up slicing my thumb since I wasn't really awake at the time. It sucked. I've also been craving cookies lately. hmmm.. Maybe I should make some. Anyways, the dog was giving me dirty glares. I didn't give her cheese after our run the previous night (I did give her another treat though!) since I was running low and I needed the cheese for my dinner. I could feel the grudge....
Went to see Star Wars The Force Awakens twice over the weekend. My buddy came down from out of town to watch it with me. Greggles was there with his fiance (spoiler... he is engaged. sorry Greggles if you didn't want it to be public knowledge). Greggles is ALL empire and Vader. I am, all about the rebellion and the Jedi. I THOUGHT my buddy would help balance the group as he is (was?) pro jedi. The night of watching the film, we unveiled what we were wearing to the screening, and I was betrayed!!!!
Last star wars comic... probably not. I'm glad I got tickets for multiple viewings opening weekend for comparisons and rewatching. I won't say anymore than go watch it.
The Force awakens is only 2 days away!!! I am pumped! I even started putting together a jedi robe cosplay for it. I am psyched. that is all
Only a week til Force Awakens opens. Well, actually less than a week since they have showings on Thursday (which of course I will be doing). It is odd. It seems like the entire landscape has focused on this event. Stores that you would never expect to have products based on the universe have tons of stuff to sell. Bars that one would normally be ridiculed for wearing Star Wars attire are hosting themed nights and everyone practically now owns at least something related to it. I'm not complaining (well at least not a lot). More people promote and show the love, the more likely more things will be made. I just hope it doesn't overly flood the market and we end up with shoddy rushed movies/shows/books/merch.
congrats! You get 2 different strips today! A few months ago, I played at NOVA's 40k trios as well as their night narrative games. It was a whole lot of fun, and I'm grateful that I got to play. The narrative is just what it seems. You play out battles based off certain narrative settings and situations. On the second night I got matched up with (I think. It has been a while since it happened) Gregg (not Greggles). My Dark Eldar against his Chaos Daemons. It was an interesting match up. For the good guys (which side my Dark eldar played on) were giving forcefields that could span nearly the length of the table. It blocked all shooting and was impassable (you could not walk through it). These were all good things for me as Dark Eldar are fairly squishy, and most of my army are in things that can hover and thus go over said forcefield. The problem was, that I was facing an army of psychers so the forcefield did nothing to prevent ranged attacks from them as they are not projectiles, and his Princes could just go over the field as well. It hurt...
After I moved (again) I booted up my computer to play music while I unpacked. After a while, I noticed a peculiar smell coming from the room where it was. It was the smell of electronics burning. I first thought all it needed was a good air blowing/cleaning. I shut it down and let it sit for a day and then took compressed air to it. I booted it back up, and 20 mins later, the odor was back. I sniffed around trying to determine what component was the culprit. The only problem was that the fans all over my computer kept shifting where the smell was coming from. I thought I had pinned it down to the videocard. That being the case, I ordered a new card (found a refurbished one, that would be at least on par with the replaced, on sale). Waited the 2 days to get it and then installed it. Whelp, wasn't the problem. So I once again sniffed around. I pulled it all apart, cleaned out all the fans and components, and then slapped it all together again. Turns out it was the power supply. So I ordered a new one of those. When it came in, I was excited to have a working machine again and get back into battlefront. Well, F that power supply. The cables were so ridiculously short nothing reached what I needed them to reach. WHO MAKES THIS CRAP!! Kentax, suck my yellow...... I ended up having to walk to best buy, and luckily after 20 mins of searching managed to find the ONE that was what I could tolerate. So many wasted orders and so many times pulling this damn computer. I have been planning on building a new one, but not for a few months since I first need to buy a new surface pro. I might as well have just moved up that build.... okay, I finally got a fitbit. It was on woot and was really cheap for a refurbished "fitbit charge". I figured I might as well since I do want to finally start getting back into shape to hopefully start back into ultras sometime next year and possibly get back into actually racing in races. Plus, I know my timex is pretty old and will probably need a new battery or to be replaced so why not. Anyways, it is very interesting. Mostly I have been comparing the distances that it claims versus the distance I had calculated on various walks and runs. It is kinda fun. I have noticed, that I do run into some other unexpected issues (that when you think about it, should have been obvious)
weee... the post Thanksgiving season is here. Onward to the christmas season. To be fair, that started in store before thanksgiving even started. That means all the sales. Black Friday came and kinda went (seems that sale just keeps on going these days). Today (Monday, the day I'm writing this post) is Cyber MONDAY. The day everyone is glued to their computers trying to find the best online sales they can possibly get. Considering how close these two days are the amount of email ads sent out is pretty impressive.
