Last week, Marvel and Square Enix gave a teaser to a joint project revolving around the Avengers franchise. This got Greggles and me talking and spit balling ideas that we could see or would like. We figured it would have some multiplayer components and we hoped it would be a jump and out feature, much like the Dead Rising franchise allows. We wondered if you would play as a new unique character or if you would play as one of the main cast. If so, would you be able to select which you would want? We know Greggles would be Hulk. No other toon. I would like to play more stealth (okay, really I just like shooting arrows both Hawkeyes and Black widow's would appeal to me). What type of achievements would it include?

I get a lot of spam mail. Except a lot of the time they are sales, and I do love a good sale. The worst are the flash sales. I feel like "OH! I gotta check it out! I'll totally miss out!" and then spent forever combing through trying to find something worth buying. If I do, I then re-scour trying to find more to make it worth ordering. Usually it isn't the type of sale I hope for and they don't have what I am looking for and I'm disappointed.
Over the weekend, my landlord's car was also broken into. Someone had smashed in their driver side window. There was nothing in the car so at least that was good. She has been travelling, so I taped up a trashbag over it to prevent the rain from getting in. Good thing since it has been pretty bad out the past couple days. She had nothing in the car. She barely ever uses it. So I have no idea why it was targeted. My concern was maybe it was in retaliation by the people who broke into mine and were bitter they only got bowling balls. But then someone mentioned it was funny that everything had a B. Back window, bowling balls, BMW... Someone hates B's...
On saturday, I woke up and got ready to go meet some friends and hit some golf balls. We were going to go to TopGolf since my buddy finally brought his clubs home from his parent's place. I was a little dehydrated and lethargic, but I grabbed my clubs and went out to the car. I opened the back gate/door and thought it was odd that the garbage bins had been moved back to their spot since I hadn't done that. I then walked towards the trunk when I felt and heard a crunch under my feet. I then looked up and noticed my back door window had been smashed in. I had left my bowling balls in their bag in the back seat and apparently someone thought it looked worth stealing (they weren't). It was a quick smash and grab considering there was cash in the dash, from when I had to pay parking and tolls, that was left. It had just started to rain when I went out, so I got to spend the next hour picking up glass from the parking area as I didn't want to risk having anyone or their pets cut themselves. My neighbors said the other night they saw a guy ungainly running through the alley with a bag and didn't realize what had happened. I can only hope this was the case.
On tuesday, I had some down time and no ideas for today's comic. So I decided to do a warm up and then start drawing. I didn't know what I was going to draw. I did a couple heads in various poses, and then I drew some random lines. I then connected them and it looked like a finger so I followed the natural progression and drew the rest of the hand. It was a hand pointing up. I then figured what the heck might as well draw a fist. It just kept going. I think I drew like 10 hands, and that is not something that I usually do. I do not like drawing hands. I have issues drawing them. I then decided to draw a foot. Another thing that I very much struggle with. They were all coming out pretty damn good. I was super surprised and pleased. So I spent the day just doing that. I realized most times I do better drawing the left hand, or at least start with left hands. I realized it was because I could easily pose my left hand when I'm doing comics or whatever (I wasn't using references for the day's practice). Looking at your hand then moving it to draw with, then posing it again, then using it...... makes for a tough time.
Magfest is over. I am sad. It was an awesome convention and I had an awesome time. I played the hell out of Initial D, and a new (to me) drum game called Future TomTom. It also requires for some songs hand/arm motions as their is a kinect camera connected. It was a blast, and I must have spent at least 4 hours on that machine over the weekend. I also played the heck out of some pinball and various fighting games. At 3am, surprisingly the King of Fighters machine was available for most of the rest of the night. I bought a new Initial D license, as I couldn't find mine (must have lost it in the move), and started a new campaign. It was shocking to see how NOT crowded it was for the machines. It was glorious. I also got to go into the battletech pods for full immersive mech battling, and played 2 sessions of Horizons Space Sim. The music was fantastic as usual, and I was thrilled to go see a lot of it and not just hangout at the bar all night. I got to see many friends I don't see often. Overall, give it an A. If it weren't for the wind, and the amount of puke I saw on the floors, it would be an A+. Stay classy magfest attendees... Now, I must rest, for it took much out of me...
I am really liking not doing quests in final fantasy. It doesn't help that those of FYN playing the game have a side competition of who can catch the biggest fish... needless to say, we have had large periods of times not doing quests...
Those of us at FYN are all hooked on Final Fantasy 15. Arwyn started it up, then I got hooked. Greggles got the game a few days after us. He actually got a PS4 pro to play it (he didn't need the pro but figured he would get that in planning for the future). In very short time, he has eclipsed both of us. Luckily he had a longer break and took full advantage. I have been sick and exhausted so I haven't been able to put in as many hours. You would think being sick and not wanting to leave the house or the couch would result in better numbers, but I slept most of the time. Meanwhile, Greggles has powered through ignoring what the world has to offer and what he could offer to the world.
