I am exhausted!!!!!!! Like I mentioned before I was pulling some long nights in prep for Awesomecon. In fact, I didn't get as far as I wanted before, or even during the con weekend. I stayed up friday to continue working the cosplay. I then got up early and continued to work on it. I missed out on hearing David Tennant's panel to work on it. I ended up using my test fitting pieces and attaching them as the accessories. It was sufficient for the weekend. I will be replacing them with the true pieces once I get the proper materials again. After the con, I headed home to rest. I ordered a ton of pizza and other comfort foods and wanted to just veg out. My phone then started to blow up with people asking if I wanted to do stuff. I lost my voice on friday so I really wanted to rest so I turned down everyone in order to do so. Then I ended up staying up anyways! STUPID STUPID STUPID!

I'm dying... The last 3 weeks have been pretty hectic. I had to plan out the session for our DnD group, Drunkin & Draggin. I had a few things I wanted to tie into their current campaign outside of the actual campaign as written. So that required a bunch of research and to research more about the backstory of the campaign and characters. Also, I have been obviously been keeping up with the comics. The issue is that I've had some long work days where I haven't had any down time to get in a bit of drawing or research time. So I've had to do all that stuff after hours (like a normal person). Also, new rules for 40k were leaked, so I've been researching all that, and preparing army lists as Greggles and I decided to do a trial run of the rules that were leaked (and had a ton of fun!). Also, with awesomecon being this weekend, I decided I needed to finally finish my chirrut cosplay so I've been putting in tons of hours into that. It was a lot more complex than I had thought, and every time I go back to working on it, I find better reference material and find that it is even MORE complex than the last time I had thought it was more complex. It doesn't help, that I lost track of the materials and fabric since the last time I worked on it. Also, as it turns out, I lost or tossed a box of cosplay materials and tools when I moved. I just learned that tonight. THANK GOODNESS FOR AMAZON NOW!!!! I learned of the issue at 9:30pm... it was just delivered (it is 11:40pm). Now I guess I'm doing an all nighter. I'm gonna look like death tomorrow..
Meetings get cancelled all the time. Most times, they are cancelled last minute. Unfortunately, when this happens others inevitably find out, and then try to insert other meetings in their stead. Usually it isn't too bad. These days most meetings are via conference calls. So when you get an invite to a meeting that requires you in person, I've watched people be very off put and surprised. Half the time, the requester has no idea what the attendee has going on or where they are. This is probably a product of the area and not necessarily the general norm. The worst part of it while being in DC is that getting around the city isn't always the smoothest of adventures (okay, most times it is a crap shoot where you crap out more often than not). Many events and meetings are delayed due to people not being able to get to the location in a predictable manner.
So I was having trouble thinking of a new comic idea earlier this week. I was a bit stressed about it since I had a pretty full week of work and wasn't going to have as much time as I usually do to draw or just spitball ideas. I guess my sleepy-self recognized this. On Tuesday I had a dream where I actually came up with a good comic. I envisioned all the panels and the scripted lines! I didn't realize it was a dream though. When I woke up I still remembered it and was really excited. I was going to start putting it down, but instead started making breakfast. Needless to say, I started forgetting it. I remembered the art, and the punchline, but I couldn't remember the setup and nothing was making sense. I got so frustrated. Then, I woke up. I was still frustrated that I couldn't remember the dream cause in my dream I thought it was really funny! So I continued to try to remember it. I just could not figure out what led to the punchline. Worse, the panel art was starting fade from memory. I tried to really quick sketch before it all faded but it was fading fast. Then I woke up... Now, I could remember the middle panel and last panel art, but now all the text was forgotten. I got pissed. Then I woke up again and was just angry.
