changes of fast food chains to be subtle.
so burger king bought out Tim hortons. amazon bought Twitch. Sprint did not buy out anyone. With all these company mergers and buyouts, you expect some small changes to the originals despite what the companies say. some are huge changes, some more subtle. I imagine the

It has been over a year now since i started drawing on a nearly daily basis. I am still refining and trying to define my style. I am also still trying to learn a lot of the tools and tricks of the trade. Fortunately I have great partners who I can turn to and allow me to pick their brains. I am also fortunate that I have co-workers that allow me to bounce ideas off of once in a while or throw up a challenge. When i first started drawing often, I was watching "Strip Search" which was a reality web series by Penny Arcade. I was watching an episode at lunch, and my co-worker nkticed and started warching with me. She decided to challenge me withher own 2 word selections to see if i could draw a strip based off those and in 90mins. I think it took me 2 hours, but I did it... my Humor may not have changed much but my art has. Thanks to trying out different styles like in my "Digital Daydream" strips.
over time, you evolve? The new rule set and campaigns for D&D came out. Our game is just finishing up our current campaign and our DM wants to actually play as a party member. So, I will be taking over DM responsibilities. I look forward to watchig everyone roll poorly and laughing. Greggles and I have purchased the player's handbook, and I ordered/preordered all the rest. Can not wait til we start the new campaign
Greggles has supported a number of kickstarters as I have already mentioned numerous times. Recently, one that he has been looking forward to announced it had the first shipment ready. Except they weren't going to ship em to the backers, but instead bring a bunch to a convention instead. Way to go... way to support the ones that support you. I do not understand people and their business making decision skills. This is why banks do not back you and you have to ask random people to help ya out... and then screw over. One of the reasons they will not ship is due to cost of shippin all those minis.... I think there may be a solution for that.
It always comes back to the fact that I love collector editions of stuff. Specially when they come with cool stuff. I told Greg to stop sending me links, but I still find the stuff myself at times. Now that I am fully moved into the new home and all my stuff is squared away, I realize I do not have the room to keep up the pace of collecting that I have been. There are a few things that I can just not let slip by.... it is the bane of temptation.
Also, updated the banner on Panoramic Enlightenment... Someone was feeling left out... hehe On my first night at the new home, I went out back to check the gate. That is when I met my new neighbor spiderbro. A very nice harmless brown spider of some kind, about the size of my thumbnail. He had strung his web across the rails on the stairway leading to the gate. It absolutely caught me off guard. But once I followed it to him, we both knew we would be ok. The next day, spiderbro was kind enough to have built his web spanning on the same side of the railing so I didn't have to breakthrough it. Unfortunately, few days later I went back out and he had spanned the path again and I got a (pretty Damn tough) strand right cross the face. Seemed to be a cycle, til a few days ago. I am not sure if he has moved out, or just adjusted.
I miss spiderbro. This is the final weekend in my current apartment. Been 3 good years. I've actually lived in my building for 7+ years now. I will miss it and the few neighbors I know. I think I'm going to miss the staff the most. Anyways, the time has come for the serious business of the move. All the boxes are packed and I have been purging all the things I will not be taking with me. The amount l stuff I can accumulate is tremendous. So for me trying to bring it down to what would fit into just a 10x11 room has been difficult. It is a never ending cycle of pick it up, bag it, drive to recycling center or donation bin, drive back.... rinse and repeat. I have a feeling I still am taking too much with me and I could purge more, but it is too late now. I'm not going through those boxes til the movers place em in my new room. It has been 3 long weeks of trying to make sure I have Less, not more
Last Monday, I had the movers come and was supposed to have fios installed in the morning. I had a confirmed time slot of 8-9am arrival of the technician. 9:00am came and went . I gave Verizon a ring and the rep who answered informed me I did have a confirmed appointment but according to the local dispatch office no one was actually assigned it. The rep, who used a Doctor Who reference when giving me their name, was really great about talking to them and keeping me informed. come 1:00, I had a technician knocking on my door. One hour later, I had another knock on the door, and two more technicians arrived... their dispatch office send em all. It felt like I got visited by
Team fios! EA announced that they are doing a subscription service for sports games and Battlefield. I can see for them it may make sense in that it is an evolution of the "pay to enjoy our games via dlc and unlockables that are already on the disc" business model. Greggles laughed when he heard about it and compared it to a few things. But the truth is
you scream, I scream, we all scream... right? |
