So, my family has always been interested in my dating life. Fairly typical for a korean family. Also, typical is the fact that they want you to only date other Koreans. Since my family considers me beyond my prime and are desperate for a full korean wedding with possible pure korean babies, they push me every chance they get. Somehow, this includes the idea that me going on a blind date while spending a few days in Korea is a genius idea. Pretty sure this is how they expect how it goes

So with the Dark Eldar's codex soon being released, Greggles ha been scouring the net for rumors and updates. I am personally looking forward to an actual Dias of Pain, and the Void bomber. I am really looking forward to getting the actual codex in hand, and seeing where the nerfs are and what good things they have done. One thing greggles pulled out was the possibility of a new Wrack gun. Apparently this gun causes painful and abnormal growth to occur.

a fantasy game of final fantasy Recently, FYN has been debating army lists and what should be played and what shouldn't. We have also been discussing nerfs and OP squads. I menioned I had thought some of the necron's stuff was OP. I was countered with "and your dark eldar bikers aren't?"... so that I say shenanigans. They are super simple to kill once they can be hit. How do you hit them? with auto hit cover ignoring fire... literally fire. It is the bane of my army's existence. Sure they are pretty potent attackers, and I love zooming around the board slicing and dicing up armies. but soon as they get into range, poof! Heck, they can be popped by pretty much anything. it just so happens to be that they are extremely flammable.
On Saturday, our group finished up our DnD campaign. It was a lot of fun. Our DM was a master at rolling 20's. It could be a roll for something improbable and need a really high roll and of course he would roll a 20. Well, now the tables have turned! I am now DMing the next campaign, and he is now in the party rolling 3's for stealth checks. I am now rolling the 20's to avoid plots and plans. It is true, there is some sort of DM power over the dice.
I can not wait for the new Dark Eldar Codex to come out for warhammer 40k. More importantly, I can not wait for the new Necron codex to come out so they can fix a glaring OP situation. The ability for the warriors to disembark from their Scythe without it having to hover or slowdown and without any type of penalty is ridiculous. All other armies have to slow it down or hover. There are other things that need to change too... but mostly I just don't want to keep getting tabled by Macathu... But back to my point... Necrons disembarking is OP
So, the last couple weeks, I have struggled to come up with ideas in a timely fashion. I have also been a whole lot more busy at work and in life the past few weeks, which seriously hinders my time to draw and think up ideas. By "think up" I mean be in chat sessions with the rest of the FYN crew and friends where I can draw from. Lately, it has been all 40k and DnD talk periods that I manage to catch. Which is great (on a personal level)!!! But, I seem to be missing out on some of the other random discussions that usually fuel me. (okay, I am kidding.... somewhat) Honestly, about 50% of my ideas do come from just kidding around with the rest of the group, and the other 50% just from my day to day events. Problem has been my erratic schedule. I will admit the last 3 weeks, I have come down to the wire and have had to stay up working til the last minute on some posts. So, last week I was floundering, and had to do a lot of hours at work and travel. Thus, I am sitting here at home drawing at 10:30pm... Mental blocks suck.
Greggles went to the Nova invitational, and updated us via chat all weekend, sending us tantalizing photo after photo. I was tempted to head over on Saturday, but woke up in a super exhausted state, and decided to just chill at home. Which ended up with a stop at the game shop and the purchase of MtG cards, and many temptations....
this past weekend, I got to see all my friends talking about how much fun they were having at Pax Prime, Dragon Con, Renn Fair, Nova, and a few others. meanwhile, I stayed home. But, I did end up having a pretty packed weekend regardless. Wandered into a pinball tournament in random bar, got sucked back into MtG, played board games, streamed all the con content I could from PAX, and got constant photo and turn updates from the 40k tables at Nova. While also following all the other things via twitter and twitch. Also, I had 4 fantasy football drafts... I am a sucker... So needless to say, even though I stayed in most of the weekend, I still managed to do all the things.
