Do you ever just zone out and let your eyes de-focus and see things? I do. Usually with like granite, or tiling I like to just stare at it and start seeing shapes. Basically what you do with clouds, just in more places. I can stare at granite tops as I'm cooking or bathroom and kitchen flooring an just see shapes. A bear here, a skeleton there... Sometimes, I can see entire landscapes or scenes. A lot of times when I'm just doodling it is cause I saw something and it got stuck in my head. It is cool cause pretty much wherever I am I can find new stuff to draw when I can't just pull it out of my own head.

Recently Greggles declared that the most delicious apple in the world is the Fuji apple. I asked him if it was the best thing ever. He said not ever but for sure the best apple. I then asked if it was the best Fuji... Now, we have a friend with that name except he spells it with a "g". There are also other things with the name Fuji... Hester wouldn't actually commit to it, but we know he was thinking it.
So I went to visit my dad over the weekend. At one point, I was walking down the stairs to go to the bathroom and avoid another discussion on my dating life, I slipped. I slid down a few steps on my feet while holding myself up by the railing and my right arm that I put down to catch myself. I got up, thought I was good, and slipped again. I once more, put my arm down to catch myself. My wrist initailly did not hurt too bad. but as time went by it did. As a sign language interpreter, I kinda depend on my wrist a lot. I knew it was going to be an interesting day of work. All night it bothered me, and when I would grab my covers or shift pain would shoot through it. At work, I had about 30% of my motion. As the day went by and I used it more, it started to loosen up. As I type this, I'm probably around 75% which I am thankful for. When I go to sleep and not constantly moving it, we shall see the result...
Final Fantasy 15 FINALLY RELEASED! I totally forgot about it, since I had pretty much written it off for so long. I was excited about the game forever ago. And then it kept getting pushed and pushed. I totally forgot that there was an animated mini series too, and all the other pieces that they put together. I remembered on like monday when a friend posted they had gotten it already. I have good friends... Many nerdy friends. I assumed they would treat me well... Come tuesday, all I saw were screenshots and various posts... I know I won't get to play it for a while. Probably not for another like week or 2, so I was sad to see those posts. I learned to quickly filter through them, and they have all died down which I am thankful for. I want to savor the game, and if I can't, I will not be pleased.
I am done moving! Well, at least the part about moving things... It was a long 3 weeks, but it is done. I don't know about you, but I hate it. I have moved somewhere around 25 times over my 36 years of life. It is not pleasant. One thing I have learned is that I prefer the short time table of moving. It forces you to stay motivated and just get it done. I've had a whole 2 months before where I just slowly did it... it was miserable. This move was similar, but not at the same time. I gave myself basically 1 week from when I got keys to when I had to be done. It was still too much time. The first few days after work were fine. I came home and just banged out a few hours of moving boxes and smaller things. The problem came when I had full or longer days to do it. It was easy to do a bunch, then just take a breather.... which resulted in all motivation just evaporating. Once that happened, it was hard to really actually care about the move and not just throw my hands in the air and say screw it!
Whenever I get a call from my dad, a little bubble of dread always pops up in my gut. I don't know if he is calling because something bad happened, he wants something, or has a scheme. I'm sure every time I call him he wonders the same. Usually I am just trying to schedule a quick day trip visit, but with him I never know. And Whenver I do see him, at some point or another it always goes back to the same question of "are you dating? You know, you really should focus more on that. We are getting old and would like to see your wedding. Are there not enough Korean girls? I thought there were a lot. Actually, We know someone here if you want to meet her (Or in Korea, Cali, PA, Uganda... etc)". Occasionally they'll take me out to lunch, and "OH LOOK AT THAT! The owner of this place's daughter is in town too! You know, she is single, why don't you two talk"... I think I rather lift heavy things.
If you haven't guessed, I order a lot of stuff from Amazon. I love prime. Getting things in 2 days has been awesome! Now, Amazon Prime Now is available here. I can get things delivered in 2 hours! I can't wait to use it, since I often forget to get things when hosting people or when a project pops up that I need to crap out quickly.
Moving sucks. There are so many boxes and furniture to deal with, on top of cleaning, landlords and crap. People disappear for ages cause of it. There is no time for enjoyment. ALso, I don't recommend stacking things too tall. If you do, at least have options to get help.
Since I'm moving out this month, the owner of the house has started showing the place. Problem is, she tried to schedule these appointments with only like 2 hours advanced notice, and sometimes less. Most days, this wouldn't be an issue, but she keeps picking dates that I already scheduled people to be over. It has been a bigger uptick of that since I have been trying to take advantage of the house as much as possible. Also, it means I can stay home and take care of stuff. The good thing is, that at least I have been given notice and could ask for her appointments to reschedule when I need to, and to be aware and out of the house when it does work out. At least most of the time. Who schedules things at 1am without letting you know?!?!
So we had our election in US on Tuesday. The aftermath resulting in joy for some, and shock and fear for others. There hasn't been a lot of other news or happenings since. I didn't have much material to use. Instead, I decided to take note of an interesting thing I've learned when it comes to election night. It fascinates me the different ways people go about the night to watch as the proceedings happen. How did you participate this election night?
