10 years ago, Square Enix showed us a game. A game many people were excited about. No, not kingdom hearts III, although that is another one. They promised us final fantasy XIII Versus, and I was excited. It looked great. Every few years, they would bring it back out and tell us they haven't forgotten about it and that it was still in development. Unlike Valve and their half life 3 situation where they just say it isn't happening, Square kept us dangling. They would release teasers and trailers every so often, giving us just enough taste to want more. I'm pretty sure they have Opium dealers on their pay roll as consultants. Regardless, they finally gave us a release date. They then gave us 2 very different demos, and trailers to some animated film they are trying to release simultaneously. It felt like it was finally going to happen and that they were giving us more to repent. Then it was announced they were delaying the release. Despite that they had already created and printed the master game disc, they wanted to go back and create a new one. As to be expected, the internet went into a rage. Why? When it is just 2 more months after 10 years of waiting. What could go wrong?
