On tuesday, I had some down time and no ideas for today's comic. So I decided to do a warm up and then start drawing. I didn't know what I was going to draw. I did a couple heads in various poses, and then I drew some random lines. I then connected them and it looked like a finger so I followed the natural progression and drew the rest of the hand. It was a hand pointing up. I then figured what the heck might as well draw a fist. It just kept going. I think I drew like 10 hands, and that is not something that I usually do. I do not like drawing hands. I have issues drawing them. I then decided to draw a foot. Another thing that I very much struggle with. They were all coming out pretty damn good. I was super surprised and pleased. So I spent the day just doing that. I realized most times I do better drawing the left hand, or at least start with left hands. I realized it was because I could easily pose my left hand when I'm doing comics or whatever (I wasn't using references for the day's practice). Looking at your hand then moving it to draw with, then posing it again, then using it...... makes for a tough time.
