In my profession, I work at a lot of different places. On any given day I could be at a government agency, some base, or just an office. A number of times I have gone and sat at a security check point or desk while people are trying to get in, our get their credentials and badge for access to that facility because they are going to work there for a short period or permanently. It is interesting to see the differences in their security protocols and policies. Some places you expect to be hard to deal with are not, and some places which I personally don't think need it, have incredibly extensive and strict procedures. The other thing I found interesting is the amount of times that they don't follow their own.
