That being said, I am going to be working harder on the comics, and more importantly working on my skills. Not only with the strip, but also really buckle down with my running and other interests. I never did learn to draw, but I'm going to start to pick up the skills. Monty was self taught, and was one of the most dedicated people ever to his craft. He always said (to paraphrase) that putting your all into the craft you love is worth all the hours you are up awake at it. How can that be a sacrifice?
This week has been pretty rough. I've had to work a couple long ass days where my coworkers had to leave early or arrive late. On top of that, Monty Oum's passing hit me a lot harder than I expected. So on Monday, it was pretty rough. Got home later than usual from work, and I didn't get any down time to work on the strip. Being stressed and tired both physically and emotionally really hurt.
