What a weekend. Had a great time celebrating Shantz's birthday. We played X-wing, 40k, Ticket to Ride, We didn't Test this, Titanfall and Resistance. Talk about a great gaming day!

One thing I did take away from the battle, is just how awesome this battle mat is from frontline gaming. They didn't send me the mat, I bought it with my own money, so I'm not paid to sing it's praises. I'm just impressed by the quality of it, and all the little extras.
My favorite thing about it (besides the detail), is how nice the dice react to the surface, and how the models slide over it. I posted a short video above to show this off, since I haven't seen anyone actually show how nicely the models slide over it.
The only thing I'd do to improve this mat...is to release a reversible version. (A different terrain type on the other side). Of course that might mess up the grippy texture on the underside...which is probably why they didn't do that!
I spent most of the weekend prepping for this battle report, so not much is new on the hobby front. It's also been far too cold to prime models, so the buildings are remaining plastic for the time being. Give up winter! Let me prime my models! Should have two more wraiths done (and a final building built) for Friday's post.
