Greggles Is At Adepticon 2016!

Hey Guys! No post last week, but a flurry of posts coming out. I'm at adepticon this week! Will be taking my normal flurry of photos for the various events.

I have a bunch of seminars on thursday, but should be around for the 40k championship setup to try and snag early round photos. If I miss you, don't worry, I'll be back later to get some more!

Reminder of my crazy mug! I'll be wearing my FYN "I'm jinking, Brutal but Kunnin, and Kunnin but brutal shirts" at the event. Please say hi if you see me!

The hologram figure popped up from the Por'O's data tablet.

"We are tracking an extremely elevated level of "soft" surveillance and cordon screening amongst the inter-system traffic. All communication bands are experiencing increased traffic both on the surface and between various Imperial Naval assets and task forces. This activity has begun in the last rotaa."

Continuing, the Kor'la communications analyst stated, "For reasons we are unable to determine, some set of circumstances have driven the humans into a flurry of activity."

The Por'O queried, "Are you telling me that you are unable to decipher these communications?"

The Kor'la analyst stated, "No, I am not saying that. We are able to intercept, decrypt, and read all of their communications, except for one signal, as clearly as we as speaking now. That isn't the problem."

"Then what is the problem?"

Def. Flensing Scarabs are swarms of specifically designed Scarabs designed to swiftly and violently separate flesh from bone. Although no more than mere insects in size, in large groups they can nonetheless reduce organisms down to bone with terrifying speed.

Greg: Side note. I actually have seen army ants at work in person, when I visited Belize for a research project. They are no joke terrifyingly effective. The natives love it when they go through a village, as they clean out all the insects from inside the houses!

While I was doing research for the Children of the Dragon and Necrons in general, I came upon the above entry in the 40K Lexicanum awhile ago.

At the time I didn't think a lot about it, but while I was putting together the cultists I was suddenly struck by an idea. Small as insects, reduces organisms to bone with terrifying speed and all of a sudden this happened...

Video Games, PT, and Adepticon!

Hey Guys! Another week, another Greg not getting any Hobby Stuff done! This time it's due to two things. Video games and Physical Therapy!

Not my image, I just thought it was funny!

The first of these two games...xcom2, was flipping amazing. If you've ever been a fan of turn based squad tactical combat, Check it out. Generally when I play games like these, I always wonder if it will remove my desire to ever play the originals ever again. This one knocked it out of the park and I don't think I could ever go back again.

The Special Response Team continued down the tunnel, part of a coordinated effort to flush out the location of the higher ranking members of this new cult. Bronke as the team leader of his squad had no idea why all of a sudden the special order placing multiple "Sert" teams down in the Emperor cursed fething sewers had happened, he just knew that most likely, they'd spend all day down here, not find anything and come out smelling like a, well...a sewer.

<interrupts> "Lord Commandant, I strenuously object! The prisoner did not "escape". We've all seen the vid cam footage, the interviews extracted from the guards on duty, various sensor tools in operation, as well as resulting data analytics, I repeat, the prisoner did not escape!"

Jervis smiled, "So then...Commander...how would you explain the circumstances of his disappearance?"

"The prisoner left of his own volition by means that are still under investigation."

Jervis replied, "And when do you think you'll conclude your...investigation Commander?"

The Lord Commandant stepped, "That's enough you two. The circumstances around the prisoner's disappearance are bothersome in that it seems to indicate capabilities we are currently unfamiliar with. As a result, I have requested additional support from the Ordo Xenos to assist us with this troubling matter. Now continue Jervis."

Hey Guys! Welcome back! Finally got in some 40k events this past weekend at Huzzah Hobbies (and my back held up, so that was a plus) and took a load of photos.

Had a great time with Phil (ran the event) and Ashley (main judge) and the overall atmosphere was really pleasant. Great store to boot! But enough about that, you guys want to see the photos!
