Another productive Necron week!  Finished the destroyer lord.  He came out pretty awesome!

Short post this week!  Finished up Imotekh for Macathu as part of my training plan payment.  He turned out pretty good...but man do I hate finecast.

This was my first time painting a thin model made from finecast, and it was miserable.  The model feels like it is going to snap and fall apart at anytime.  Extremely brittle when painting, and I worry about it shattering into a million pieces if it falls.

You'll notice that his cloak is missing a section that used to stick out to the right.  Well it snapped off, and no amount of pinning or gluing would make it right again.  The material is just not durable enough.

I play a dwarf hammer fighter in our D&D campaign, and just finished painting him up.  Hope you guys like him!  Finally don't have to proxy a random 40k model when playing D&D!

Just got my december order of dragonforge bases in...and boy are they gorgeous!  

For those that aren't familar with dragonforge design, it's a small company that specializes in resin bases for wargaming.  The bases are highly detailed, and very solid and help keep mini's in place on the table.  Most of my models feature them, as I enjoy working painting them quite a bit!

You might think to yourself...but tons of companies make resin bases...why should I go with dragonforge ones?  

Because of Jeff.  Jeff runs dragonforge design.  Only Jeff.  He's a one man shop of excellence.  His support and product are top notch, and I kinda of like knowing that my money is going to a guy trying to make a living off his product, instead of a production factory overseas churning out copies of other peoples products.
