Welcome my friends! Bit of a shorter post this week. Had a slew of wedding stuff lately, so time has been a bit restricted! I was able to get working on the enamels, and get some lovely close up shots for you all. I also had some fun working on the renegade ork knights, and coming up with ideas to flush them out. So first off, started with the powders, enamels, and washes. Also got some closer up shots, so everyone can see how deep the chipping detail is. It never really shows up that well at a distance, but boy oh boy is it awesome when you are seeing it in person!

Welcome back friends. Another exciting week of lets watch Greg paint a single model! This week I finally get the dread yellowed up, and start the chipping process. Starting with a semi teaser so people read further...ha you all read anyway, you love the dreads! Admit it!
+++ VOX INTERCEPT: U9:X4-8729
+++ VOX NODE: 218.032.991.558 +++ REPORT PROTOCOL: EMERALD +++ TRANSMISSION START My dear Lord Iapetus, I send this urgent message to you in search of counsel. During a recent operation on the planet Persephone, an artifact of unknown origination was retrieved. We are unable to place it in a stasis container and ship to you, due to the size of the artifact and our inability to construct a similar container of larger size and maintain our current level of operational security. I must also admit to be concerned as to the nature of the artifact as it is similar in shape to the unrecovered device found on Pathos IV. At this time, it appears to be inactive. A cordon has been established around the site, though somewhat surreptitiously. That fact, in and of itself, would warrant a deep investigation by your presence, but there are additional concerns that have elevated my level of concern. Welcome to Weathering, with your Host Rusty Greggles! This week was a flurry of activity on tiny sections of the dreads base, and his little grot controller Francis. First just your standard metallics. Bunch of leadbelcher everywhere, being careful to leave some areas which are still dirt. (you'll see why in a bit).
Welcome friends! I'm in full production mode! Since I got past the hobby block of how to successfully mount the Deff dread, I'm been a buzz with activity. Should hopefully have him finished in a week or so to meet my (sorry Dave) late deadline due to my ultra slow painting speeds. First off, here is the final posing. I can still adjust the arms slightly, but pretty much everything else is knocked into place. I'm currently working on trying to figure out the cable from the grot remote to the dread (you can see the wire in the background), but other than that, the build is done!
Short off day post for you all! I forgot to mention that the Nova Open Charity Raffle is now live! Buy your tickets! So many amazing artists have contributed! Including everyone's favorite Mordain7th! But that's not all. Have a Dread update! I worked on finalizing his pose last night. I think i like his arms best like this. This pose is further along, as his other leg, claws, shoulders are now in place. Put a marine in for scale. He's quite intimidating! You can barely see the little grot in front! I'm thinking arm poses from the first set of photos. Thoughts? Welcome friends! Had a great hobby breakthrough this week. Have been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to get the deff dread base setup and finished. Finally woke up with an idea and went straight to work! I went to work grabbing some bitz and bubs to both support the main leg section, as well as cover up the gaps in the various sections of the base. Looking like a proper scrapyard base now. Tried to think about things like...how would someone get onto the rhino top? So made sections which they could walk up, and scratch marks from the constant climbing of the gretchin.
