It's amazing how much time gets sucked up by this hobby. I spent the weekend playing games with Macuthu and Shantz, and working on the Hunter Stalker. There won't be a full bat rep this time, as I forgot my remote shutter, and the game ended early. So you'll get some photos and humor of that Friday (with hopefully a finished Stalker/Hunter!)
Where we last left off with the Hunter/Stalker , I had just done the initial primer and base coat/wash. Then followed up with a very tedious codex grey line work.
I'm very happy with how this base layer of chaos black + vallejo grey spray + vallejo black wash really dirtied up the base. It looks really gritty and very different from my previous tanks.

I then went back across the entire model a second time, with Administratum grey. Anyone who says that painting templars is easy...has never had to edge trace a vehicle twice in a row. It's time consuming and aggravating...but the end result looks really nice.
I then added merchite red in as a base for my reds (I use red instead of white/cream for templars).

Next step was to go back over all the reds with red gore, which adds a lot of depth to the red. I then hit up areas with boltgun and balathsars gold as the metallic bases. Finally I hit all the metallics (and parts of the red) with badab black. The next step is going to be a purity seal of the entire model, then re highlights on the metallics, red highlights, and various details/weathering.
I'm hoping to finish this by Friday, but you never know how this hobby will go!
