There are layers upon layers of detail. It doesn't help that the model is practically singularly case (besides the sword and power pack), so separating components into painting sub assemblies isn't possible.
I say painfully only because this model (at this skill level), took as much time as nearly an entire squad of space marines would take me.
Each subsequent section has three to four colors, shades, and highlights.
The reds are...
Mechite
Red Gore
Badab Black
Evil sunz Scarlet
Casandra Yellow
Macharius Solar Orange
boltgun,
badab black,
runefang steel
The golds
Balathsar Gold
Devlan Mud
Shining Gold
Burnished Gold
Runefang Steel
Skin is various flesh tones + shades. Tabards and purity seals the standard zandri dust, screaming skull, devlan mud, screaming skull, skull white...and the sword a variety of lighter toned blues.
With that said...thus ends my Monday post! Now it's time to start working on some orks. They've been on the sidelines while I finished the Templars for the competition. No longer!!! Have a great day everybody!
