Welcome #dreadtober enthusiasts! Sorry for the lack of updates. Been having so real life stuff pop up (all good stuff!) as well as becoming addicted to metal gear solid V. At least that was walkers in it, so it's a bit of an inspiration at the same time :) Have to take a moment here and applaud Todd's awesome logo he created for the event. It's been a driving force for the group of participants, and has rallied the cause, showing up all over the googles! Todd is DA MAN! Before I get started, remember that this is just "my update" to dreadtober, and not the main dreadtober page. Dreadtobers main page can be accessed via this button, or by clicking the awesome logo! So what am I doing for my #dreadtober pledge? I'm working on two walkers. The first is going to be a table top quality Necron Triarch Stalker for Macathu. I've already got the model mostly assembled, and ready for sub assembly and priming. The scheme will go along with the previous cron's I've painted for him, with blacks, purples, and greens. The second dread will be for a diorama, that I am hoping to submit to competition in the future. It's going to be a killa kan breaking through a wall, "OOOOH YEAAAAH!" like the koolaid man. I haven't quite fleshed out the idea, but I have purchased a whole slew of misc parts to work on him. I've got the kan, some bricks, some greenstuff, and a base. We'll see where it leads me. To add in some more fun, here are some shots of a 40k we played a few weeks ago. Ork walkers won every game! My final idea for the diorma, is to have bricks scatter off the base, onto a secondary clear acrylic base...where a grot is being forced to clean them up. (kinda of breaking the 4th wall a bit). That is the idea at least. For this month I am at least working on the kan, and laying out the base and main display! Since this is a bit shorter of a post for me, I've also included some beauty shots of the loota's I painted up for Nova. Of course after spending what seemed to be a ridiculous amount of time working on these guys, I found I didn't like playing with them. That is how the cookie crumbles I guess! (I'd rather have more walkers). Keep watching for #dreadtober updates daily (on the dreadtober page) as I am watching with my web eye for everyones tags and updates, and trying to keep it all organized! Thanks for participating everyone! The outpouring of excitement has been wonderful!
