Welcome my friends. Been a pretty quiet week on the hobby front. Spent more time setting up things for the wedding (and working out back issues) then doing anything hobby related...this is bad because I need to get that Deff Dread finished stat! (And work on my Nova army!!!)
I did get one hobby awesomeness though! Finally got a Heresy Book!
I always wanted one of these books, but the price was pretty high (around 140-150 USD). Due to the sudden drop in the sterling, I was able to pick one of these bad boys up for about 40% off. Picked out the emperors children one (book one). Supposedly book six is also awesome (I was told on twitter). I had never understood the price of these books until I finally had one. They are basically so well made that you could probably use them as a weapon. The book has to weigh nearly 10 lbs (4 kg roughly), is bound beautifully, with metal corner protectors. The paper is flawless and high quality. It's also gigantic. It is definitely something to treasure. Also Horus is a dick.
On the wedding side, this weekend Shantz and I went suit shopping, and finally got mine picked out. It's a beaut. Nicest suit I've ever worn. Special thanks to Shantz for dealing with all my questions (I know nothing about suits, and he has tailoring and tux experience). It's in navy/charcoal here, but the final suit will be in black. You'll be photos when it's time! Just wanted to share!
Also picked up Tomb Raider (Shooting people in the head with a bow) and Subnautica (WHAT? No controller support?) in the steam sales. Tomb raider has been fun...except for when it puts you on rails for particular sequences. It shines best when you are solving cool tomb puzzles and not shooting people in the head with a bow. Subnautica looked cool and relaxing, but has no controller support, so I'll have to wait to play it. (I play these on the pc TV).
My xbox360 controller finally broke, so picked up an Xbox one which I'm pretty happy with so far. That's about it for this week. Sorry for the lack of hobby! Should pick it up this weekend! Have a great one everybody!
