As mentioned before, to keep to my budget (and to give myself practice), I made all these bases from scratch. I'd be following a similar theme with both armies, matching a grey rubble style. (Similar to the blue table painted model pictured above).
So much room for activities!
Don't glue your rippers to your bases before painting them! You'll see an interesting effect pop up as I work on the rippers.
Left base also has a 3rd highlight
Looking pretty good finally! This finishes the Scarab bases!
I see why Evan hates painting these.
I love this scheme! Although these scarabs are a gift, I paint Necrons for Macathu as payment for him being my fitness trainer. With his support, exercises, and advice, I've lost a phenomenal amount of weight, and so I pay for his time with my painting. (Kinda of like a commission painter!)
We live!
Which side is washed?
The one with a half shell is actually pretty cool and I considered keeping it... Though this moves relatively quickly, there are thirty of these little guys. Definitely batch painting here!
Plus i could quickly hit each one!
So many scarabs...
So cool! Hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be working on the rippers the rest of the week, then onto Shantz's secret project! Have a good one guys!
