Welcome back everyone! Another short update week. Since I am basically painting the same things as before, (and at a snails pace), I don't have too much to show you!
Finished the metallics on the next unit of 10...which are now going to turn into units of 14. (go figure!).
I built the awesome scythe terminators, which was quite a happy time, other then the 2-h scythes, which were a total pain. I am going to need to use some hot water to bend the 2-h ones, as they are slightly out of wack.
They are wicked cool looking, with great rules to boot. Looking forward to using them!
My grot tanks also came, after a sudden (but incorrect) fear that they were going to stop being produced. (The mega tank went out of stock, and everyone panicked). This is not for my army. This is going to be my unit entry for the Nova Open. More on that at a later time :). That's right, Greg is buying models solely to paint for competition! We'll see how it goes!
Last but not least...this is my 1500 point list for the Team game of 30k with Todd. (Todd adds another 1500 points) I have been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to make a fluffy deathguard list in 1500 points. It's really really hard. Everything in 30k is mega expensive! This list is actually over by 3 points, so I'll need to cut something. Tried to stick with the 7 themes (so 14 tacticals/14 tacticals/7 heavy)...but with such little points, it is difficult to find a way to utilize the points. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Reading through heresy novels as well for inspiration (1/3 of the way through the 3rd one now). Hope everyone else is doing well!
