Hey guys! Just posting a quick Friday update. Finished working on the honoured imperium. The pieces in this kit are gigantic. I think I used almost an entire pot of wash shading it.
Here is some orks for scale. Also because the rumor mill is going full bore again about them. Fingers crossed they get an update worthy of their character and style. They are my favorite 40k army by far.
Someone was asking about the rubble seen on the battle mat. I saw these resin pieces painted on ebay by user peprob1. They are full resin pieces, and carry quite a bit of heft. The paintjob on them is great, and they go perfectly with the battle mat.
I also picked up some pegasus hobbies "pre-painted" craters from amazon. They look great for the price, and also go along with the board. No one ever seems to have scale photos with these, so here is a bunch of misc 40k figures for your viewing enjoyment!
Last but not least. Working away on the next set of wraiths. Just finished the first upper layer coat on the bases. I prime them black, then use merchite red, red gore, and orange/yellow to highlight them. Then coat the top with chaos black, then three different greys. This snapshot is just with the first coat on the top.
