I spent a lot of time working on the Morkanaut in the last few days, as well as shuffling around more things in my reorganization.
Watching paint dry was a great source for tips, as well as how to magnetize the Mork/Gorkanaut. The ideas I use are direct from his video and guide! On to my build!
Scraping mould lines is also something new I did for this model. It's overall much smoother and cleaner then any model I've assembled before. From this point on, I'm scraping all mould lines, and greenstuffing any large gaps. (I even ordered some sculpting tools!). Hopefully this will show a slow improvement in model quality (and thus paint quality), as I learn how to use these new tools.
It fits perfectly within the arm assembly, and allows you to easily swap different weapon barrels.
The distance in the photo is because the large disc magnet is quite strong!
You'll also need to sand the outside lip of the super mega awesome incredible BS2 shoota thing to make sure it slides in place.
The strong magnet has enough force so you don't even need to use counter magnets to click items in place. I used a screw on the kustom mega kannon, and it locks in place just fine!
Though this normally fills me with much glee, it has become nearly impossible to browse the steam database using their app. It is a horrible mess.
Luckily there is a third party solution to this. Check out Steam Database Sales. It's a significantly nicer way to look through what games are on sale!
