That is it for this week! Look for battle reports next week, and some nova open wrap ups! Thanks for visiting!
Welcome everyone! Hope you enjoyed the army photos! Today I'm going to be talking about all the sudden and rapid work I did at the very last second for the Trust in Rust Dread mob. Though I spent months working on the charity and knight projects, at the very end, I painted nearly twenty hours straight to bring the mob into line with one another, including during Trios! If you remember from last year, there is where the Dread Mob left off. Lots of chipping done. No metallics. Everything looking about the same without much depth. Well after I did the two ork renegade knights, I decided...!)$(&$! and went to block in the metallics on EVERY SINGLE DREAD. Though they wouldn't have the same depth of metallics (the knights are three layered levels of metallics, with highlighting based on a light source from above), I would try to make sure they at least matched the knights! First up the gorks...which took SO much time. Just doing the legs took forever. Having to be extremely careful not to slip while painting, as once you cover up the chipping, it is gone forever! Massive, massive, massive improvement on these guys. Suddenly became super awesome! Then the three deff dreads. (another huge amount of time!). Still lots left to do on these guys, but hey, they look a lot cooler then last year! Last but not least, the mighty killa kans! Having metallics on the faces really brought them to life! The next steps for the mob will be doing the cables and copper bits. Then enamel washes and powders. So still lots to do...just wanted to share my insane painting surge right at the end! Here are some game shots for you guys (will work on battle reports for next post). Mob looks great on the table! And some photos of me for once! First one I'm playing Dave, who was an awesome fellow (super great tau player, played him twice). Then Dan the man for our yearly rematch...then me playing Mark having a blast with mechanicus, then finally John looking over the dread mob! That is it for this week! Look for battle reports next week, and some nova open wrap ups! Thanks for visiting!
