Hey Guys! Welcome back! I totally messed up this morning. Was going to do the third bat rep from the tournament, and I brought the photos, but left all the notes about the deployment, lists, etc. So.... I thought "Well I'll do the gretchin post this time!", but I left all the gretchin step by step photos at another location.
I know it was commented that my videos should be shorter...and I did make them shorter...except there were eight of them. So I spliced them all together instead of keeping them all separate. This video shows you the simple method of letting washes do all the complicated work for you. Anyone can do this. It is extremely easy, and a very good technique if your brush skills are not at the level of master blenders. I personally think this method just looks lovely for orks in general, regardless of skill level.

I finalized my trios and narrative 1k lists, which are basically "throw a bunch of stuff together to use up the points because it's really hard to play 1k points with orks (with 1 item per slot max) without taking 90 boyz." So I layed out all the bases and went to town with the airbrush. Seems it really loves 40% humidity, so the dehumidifier was working overtime. But no clogs, and rapid setup and spraying...worked so flawlessly i was shocked.
Then I did my standard base technique to match them to the rest of the bases in the army. Few more steps to do (paint the sides black, and add some secret weapon sewer wash into the larger cracks). You can see the mega nobz slowly coming together...though I should NOT have glued on the heads yet. Oops. Loving that kit though...everything is pretty modular, and they give you enough bits to swap all the weapon choices!
Also working on my nova open combo display board and transport device. I cut some wood for it, notched it so it fit in the drawers, and sanded everything down nice. It leaves about 1/8 to a/14 inch lip around the side, to help keep the models in place. Everything fits, and there is even room on the bottom for a cooler and my bag o stuff! Next up is spraying the boards down, and covering them in crackle paste! We'll see how that goes!
