I saw another blog use infantry bases for a similar purpose. It's a good gauge of how high you need something to be, as they are readily available if you've been doing this hobby for any length of time. If you ever need a base for anything, talk to your friends. They probably have piles of them!

How do you identify a recast? The resin thickness is not uniform by any means. It goes thin in some parts, and thick in others, sometimes on the same panel. This makes magnetizing or working with the model extremely difficult.

Another good way to identify a recast? It's too cheap. :)
In fairness, my runtbot had some casting issues and thin resin...and it came in a sealed FW bag!

It came with a few grots which I'll be using as hull point markers on all my vehicles. (idea stolen from another blog!). Just place four grots on the battle wagon magnetized...four hull points. Remove as needed! Fluffy and way better then a dice that constantly falls off or gets misplaced.

Thanks for stopping by guys! I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy reading yours!
