Welcome back fellow hobbyists! This week I actually take a look at my hobby area, cry a bit, then get to work. So as you might have imagined...the hobby room took the brunt of the house move. All my time and energy was spent elsewear...and coming back to this pile of mess was just disheartening. Well no more! Not only have I been sorting paints and getting everything ready, but I've also been selling off old armies (that i didn't paint) and boxes I didn't want anything to do with...which means more goodies soon! As part of the Nova open charity this year I was asked to paint up some orks. Mainly some Grots and a deff dread. Right up my alley! Look! I can actually work again! That only took hours and hours of time. (in a week or so, I'll take an updated photo of the hobby spaces to show how I cleaned it all up! All the grots and the deff dread will be on donated secret weapon bases. I added one dragonforge base in there, because there are actually 10 grots and one runthard...which makes it really annoying when the base sets only come in a group of 10! Just a shot of the sprues...because I don't know...maybe you like looking at sprues...and I was tired from all the organizing! (and reordering paint...nothing like leaving the caps slightly off for 6 months...DOH) Look! Look! I actually started on something! It's a miracle! I'll be painting these guys in a similar method to my gretchin tutorial...only with a bit more care and trying to adhere to the palette laid out by the ork warboss, Joe Johnson! That is it for this week! Sorry for the short post, but trying to stick to my schedule, and there wasn't much stuff this week photowise...just "Greg spent 4 hours categorizing, packing, shipping, and organizing his entire hobby/gaming space) I almost forgot! I'm going to Rome for my honeymoon with Sarah. If anyone has any advice on good places to eat, or whether or not the hotel relais 95 trevi is good or bad, please let me know in the comments!
