Trust in Rust Greggles |
Necron Decurion Warner |
Deployment
Warner deployed a majority of his forces on my left (his right), with the 3x groups of 3 tomb blades on my right, with the catacomb command barge. My deployment is based on the fact all those walkers take up a huge amount of space, so it's hard to do a flank denial with them, so I tend to make sure everything has cover. I keep the grot squads in reserve...I always keep them in reserve.
When it was time to scout move, I zoomed the bikes away from his wraith stars.
Turn 1: The fury of slow movement!
Warner has only has his heavy destroyers in range. He fires one. Hits the gorkanaut. Pens the gorkanaut. I fail my 4+ ruins save. He rolls a 6. Gorkanaut explodes on the first shot of the game. Oh oh! He was the one carrying all the toilet paper!
Turn 2: Dat's the Wrong Way Boss
Oh man I didn't take any photos this turn! DOH! I think it was because it was pretty boring.
Turn 3: Waaagh time!
Turn 4: I start killing things!
The morkanaut dies in combat, but the deff dread (in the six wraith, two canoptek spyder, and I don't know how many bases of scarabs survived. It goes to show, your best painted model is far more powerful then your least painted models! He may have lost an arm or two, and is killing absolutely nothing, but he's holding up a ton of models!
The final killa kan dies, freeing the majority of the entire necron flank.
